It's often frowned upon to ask if one was raised in a barn. But, for the parents of five grown children and grandparents of 16, their barn provides ample space for grandchildren to play, Thanksgiving dinners for 60, and a host of mounted hunting conquests. At the heart of the home, just off the kitchen, is the command center: part laundry room, sewing center, wrapping station, and butler's pantry. With dated finishes and inadequate storage hampering its functionality, an overhaul was in order. The new space, a beautiful mix of blues and white, packed with clever storage solutions, and extensive counter space generously accommodates the wife's wares ensuring work is efficient, organized, and a pleasure to do in such lovely surroundings.
